FULL TIME

Mental Health Program Assistant –  for the CREST Center, a structured day reporting program for mentally ill adults.  Hours: Mon, Tue, Thurs, Fri 8:00am-3:30pm, Wed. 10:30am-6:00pm.  Responsibilities include organizing and leading group activities and field trips, transportation to appointments, and facilitation of skill building groups.   Requirements: BA/BS in Criminal Justice, Psychology or Social Work. Associates Degree and 1-2 years work experience in a mental health agency or related field will be considered. Excellent entry level opportunity for candidates interested in a career in Criminal Justice or Forensic Social Work. Must have a valid CT Driver’s License and clean driving record.  Salary: $30,000-$32,000 annually, with medical benefits and paid time off.

FULL TIME

Employment Specialist –  Job responsibilities include all phases of employment services including: assisting clients to assess career goals, write resumes, practice interview skills, make contact with employers for job search and job placement, and job coach employed clients to help the client maintain employment. Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, or closely related field; or an Associate’s Degree in Human Services or a closely related field and experience working with individuals with a mental illness. FULL TIME

Mental Health Program Assistant/Recovery Advisor – to work in the agency’s Psychosocial Rehab Center. This position is responsible for outreach & engagement, supportive counseling, and group work. The position plans and facilitates groups and activities that promote recovery from mental illness, independent living, achievement of personal goals, and use of natural resources. The successful candidate must have a basic knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation and experience and/or interest in the use of holistic models in mental health, including nutrition & exercise, expressive arts, self-advocacy, and peer support.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related filed or a minimum of two years experience working with people who are mentally ill, preferably in a community setting. Some evenings and weekends required. Salary is low to mid-30’s with paid time off and health benefits. This is an excellent entry level position for recent graduates or those new to the mental health field.
