Expressive Arts Coordinator for Mental Health Program

Fellowship Place, a non-profit agency located in New Haven, is recruiting for a full time Expressive Arts Coordinator to plan and conduct a broad range of expressive art groups for adults living with a chronic mental illness. Groups may utilize painting, drawing, photography, and/or sculpture to promote self-expression, self-esteem, and self-advocacy. The Coordinator also organizes in-house art shows and community art shows that provide group participants with opportunities to exhibit and sell their art work. The Coordinator is also responsible for service planning and supportive counseling for an assigned caseload. Position requires a Bachelors Degree in Psychology or Art with a minimum of 2 years experience utilizing art as a therapeutic tool with the mentally ill or other special needs populations. Salary mid-$30’s with paid time off and health benefits.

Case Manager

Fellowship Place, a community based mental health agency, is recruiting for a Case Manager to provide a broad range of services for single adults with a serious mental illness residing in permanent supported housing. A majority of clients are formerly homeless individuals. Responsibilities include intake, counseling, service planning, information & referral, life skills coaching, some transportation and escort service to medical appointments, and assistance with applying for & maintaining entitlements.

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field. Prior work experience in mental health and supported housing preferred. Spanish speaking a plus. Must be a team player with good oral and written communication skills. Driver’s license and use of car during work hours required. Salary mid $30’s with health benefits and paid time off.
