Fellowship Place Partners with Stop & Shop and The CT Food Bank

Fellowship Place is proud to be selected as a participating nonprofit in the new Retail Partnership collaboration between Stop & Shop and the Connecticut Food Bank. As a participating nonprofit, one day a week Fellowship Place receives a free supply of frozen vegetables and meat for our agency’s Healthy Meals Initiative, which provides free, nutritionally balanced meals for adults who attend daily activities on our campus. Through this Retail Partnership, our agency is receiving an average of 250 pounds of food each week, which helps to stretch our agency’s limited food budget.

Simple access to healthy food options and nutrition information are vital to improving the overall well-being of our clients who struggle with poverty, mental illness and/or substance abuse problems. We are grateful to Stop & Shop and the Connecticut Food Bank for their generous support and for caring and sharing in our mission.
