Government Shutdown Impacts Food Assistance — Fellowship Place Steps Up, and You Can Too

Food assistance benefits known as SNAP will terminate on 10/31 due to the Government shutdown. Fellowship Place will help our clients get through this crisis by continuing to provide daily meals seven days a week, but we encourage everyone to contact the offices of Rosa DeLauro, Richard Blumenthal, and Chris Murphy and ask them to move toward a resolution of the country’s fiscal quagmire . With rising prices for food and colder weather around the corner, this is no time to eliminate SNAP benefits for the disabled, the homeless, the elderly and others with low and moderate incomes.

Employer Matching Gift Programs

Many employers offer Matching Gift programs that will match charitable contributions made by their employees, board members, and spouses.

This is a great way to maximize the impact of your donation. Connect with your employer’s HR dept. to find out if they offer such a program. If your employer uses a matching gift form, complete the form and send it along with your donation check to the following address:
