Fellowship Place, a community based mental health agency,  is recruiting for  a full time  Receptionist to greet visitors & clients and to perform various clerical tasks.   Responsibilities include data entry,  filing, typing, and answering a multi-line phone.   Hours are 8:45am to 4:15pm, Monday-Friday.    HS diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years experience as a Receptionist or Administrative Assistant required, preferably in a social service agency.   Successful candidates will have excellent customer service skills, experience with Microsoft word and Excel, and ability to operate basic office equipment such as fax machine, copier, and postage meter.   Must be good team player and be able to multi-task.  Salary is $17-$18/hour with benefits including health insurance, 403-b Plan, holidays,  and paid sick and vacation time.  Application Deadline 9/30/2021



Fellowship Place seeks a full time Education Specialist for the Supported Education program which assists individuals living with a mental illness enroll and successfully complete an academic or job training program. Responsibilities include education assessment and planning, assisting clients with the GED or college enrollment process, and on-going supports to help clients be successful in school, including help with study skills, time management, and test preparation.    Hours  9:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday.   Salary in the low $30,000 range, with comprehensive benefits package including health benefits, paid time off, and 403-b plan.  Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education or Associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the mental health field.  Desirable knowledge/skills:  ADA and academic accommodations, applying for grants/financial aid, teaching/tutoring, counseling, and familiarity with higher education. Fellowship Place, a non-profit agency providing services for mentally ill and homeless adults, seeks a full time Career Specialist to work with homeless individuals who are seeking job training or employment.   Responsibilities include carrying out all phases of pre-employment, education, and employment services.  The Career Specialist will assist clients  prepare for employment by completing vocational assessments to identify skills and barriers to employment, create resume and documents required by employers, complete online job applications, connect clients to volunteer, job training, or education programs for skill development, and network with employers for job interviews and job placements.

Hours: 9:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday.  Salary $18.50 per hour with comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance and paid time off.  Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Social Work or Associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in  mental health or homeless services, preferably in vocational services.   Successful candidates will have good counseling skills and a working knowledge of  eligibility requirements for academic & employment accommodations and government entitlement programs, e.g. SSI and Medicaid.  Familiarity with the homeless service system in the greater New Haven area a plus.  Occasional Use of personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursement available.    Application deadline 10/30/2021
