A special thank you to our corporate partner Kolmar Americas

A special thank you to our corporate partner Kolmar Americas for donating a very large assortment of blankets, backpacks, towels, and hygiene products for distribution to our clients this holiday season and throughout the winter. Kolmar matched contributions made by their employees, thereby doubling the impact of their gifts. Debbie Gianni (left) and Elena Bezus (right) from Kolmar met today with Veronica Vidal, Manager of Homeless Services at Fellowship Place. The agency’s daytime drop-in program for the homeless has served over 175 individuals since July 1. Kolmar’s gifts will be a big help, especially for the unsheltered.

Fellowship Place the Recipient of a 2023 Pfizer Inc. Grant Award

Fellowship Place has been awarded a 2023 grant award from Pfizer Inc. in support of the agency’s Healthy Meal Program, which addresses food insecurity & nutrition for low-income adults living with serious mental illness who attend therapeutic activities on our agency’s campus. The program provides access to free healthy meals daily- functioning as a safety net for clients who may not have adequate funds, cooking skills, or kitchen facilities, to eat and prepare nutritious meals on a daily basis. The program also gives them the opportunity to socialize and share meals with peers who face similar challenges.

Studies show that regular nutrition and an improved food lifestyle have proven effective in reducing the health-related risk factors common among people with serious mental illness, and both are vital to them in functioning at the highest level of independent living possible, an important outcome in the work that Fellowship Place does.
