Thank You To Volunteers From DiMeo Construction

A big shout-out to volunteers from DiMeo Construction Company who worked at Fellowship Place for two full days this August. The volunteers installed a chair rail and painted the agency’s homeless drop-in program space and also built a new handicap ramp for one of the agency’s Permanent Supported Housing programs. DiMeo is a socially responsible company that is giving back to the community in a very impactful way. With rising costs for maintenance, DiMeo’s help with these projects makes it possible for the agency to focus resources on direct client care.

Greetings from CONNRI

Thanks to the Birgitta Johnson Campership Fund, 20 individuals from Fellowship Place enjoyed a 4-night getaway to CONNRI Lodge, operated by The Salvation Army. The vacation featured nature walks, boat rides, campfires, fishing, and a medieval banquet. Great fun and a welcome respite from city life.

Yale’s Mobile Mammography Van Visits Fellowship Place

Thank you  Yale New Haven Hospital for the mobile Mammography Van’s visit to Fellowship Place on July 17.  Fifteen women received  mammograms.  We appreciate Yale’s support  which makes it possible for female clients to be served right on the Fellowship Place campus, where they feel safe and comfortable.

Staff member Tasseine Easy (left) organized the day’s appointment schedule and is pictured with the Yale technicians.
