Special thanks to our community partner Bank of America

These supplies will save the agency significant funds and help keep our staff and clients safe as we continue to deal with the pandemic.

Fellowship Place continues to be open for in-person activities, making it a priority to always have an adequate supply of PPE in stock.

This Week’s Dance Class at Fellowship Place

It may be stormy outside, but at Fellowship Place we are dancing our cares away. Dance class happens every week, courtesy of the Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation. Masks and social distance required.

Thank you to our friends at Kolmar Americas

Thank you to our friends at Kolmar Americas for making the holidays warmer and brighter. Employees at the company donated gloves, coats, socks and hygiene products for distribution to Fellowship Place clients, and the corporate office supported the agency’s Annual Appeal with a very generous grant. Another wonderful example of a corporation giving back to the community.

Christmas came early this year!

Today Fellowship Place received 500 pairs of socks from BOMBAS. The socks will be distributed to homeless clients in the Fellowship Inn and to other needy agency clients throughout the winter months. BOMBAS is working with nonprofits across the country to make our communities better for vulnerable men and women. A great example of corporate social responsibility!

Fellowship Place the Recipient of a 2020 Grant Award from the Petit Family Foundation

Fellowship Place has been awarded a $3,000 grant award from the Petit Family Foundation for the Expressive Arts program, which utilizes artistic expression in various forms as a therapeutic tool. “Fellowship Place is very grateful for this support from the Petit Family Foundation” says Executive Director, Mary A. Guerrera, “we are honored to be chosen as a 2020 award recipient. The expressive arts program has been an important outlet and resource for our clients during the coronavirus crisis.”

The Petit Family Foundation honors the memories of Jennifer Hawke-Petit, Hayley Elizabeth Petit, and Michaela Rose Petit by continuing the kindness, idealism and activism that defined their lives. The Foundation’s funds are given to foster the education of young people, especially women in the sciences; to improve the lives of those affected by chronic illnesses; and to support efforts to protect and help those affected by violence.

Fellowship Place is proud to participate in the Bank of America, Neighborhood Builders virtual conference

What an inspiring and impactful day at the Neighborhood Builders virtual conference! Father Greg of Homeboy Industries helped me remember why I became a Social Worker over 40 years ago, and Andy Goodman showed me how I could tell my personal story and promote Fellowship Place at the same time. Thank you Bank of America for all the support and expertise you bring to the nonprofit sector. -Mary A. Guerrera, Executive Director.
