Holiday Celebration at Fellowship Place – good cheer, awesome food, and rocking music!
On December 22, about 200 members of the Fellowship Community’s clients, staff, and Board members celebrated the Holidays at the annual celebration.
Congratulations to Fellowship Place Clients who secured employment this quarter with support from the agency’s Career Development staff
Alice D. and Carmen C. were hired at Sam’s Club as Event Specialists
Michael O. started a job at Goodwill as a Stocker
Quanda P. started a job at Goodwill in Customer Service
Elmer W. started a job at Macys, as a Warehouse Worker
Vincent C. started a job as a Drivers Helper in the community
Fellowship Place Artists Featured at City Wide Open Studios
Fifteen artists from Fellowship Place’s Expressive Arts program were among 350 artists from all over Connecticut who participated in City Wide Open Studios at the New Haven Armory on Oct. 10th and 11th , to showcase to the public their original artworks. Congratulations Artists!
Fellowship Place’s 2015 Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon Celebration on Nov. 24, a Huge Success!
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks and to celebrate family and community. We did just that “Fellowship” style on November 24. Approximately 200 clients from all agency programs came together to enjoy good food, good music, and lots of laughter. A big thank you to our good neighbor Stop & Shop for providing gift baskets for the raffle, and to members of the agency’s Board of Directors & staff for organizing the event. Most importantly, kudos to our in-house kitchen staff and Food Service interns for a delicious feast.

In October, Fellowship Place hosted our Annual Career Development Awards Ceremony to recognize clients who achieved significant milestones:
- Elmer W. started a job at Red Robin in Milford as a Food Prep Worker
- Marquelle D. started a job at Whitson’s School of Nutrition in New Haven as a cashier
- Terlane H. started a job at Visiting Angels in Woodbridge as a Certified Nurses Assistant
- Richard C. completed a 6-month Maintenance Internship on Fellowship Place’s campus
- Steve S, David N, Maria T, Liz C, have volunteered the month of September at Yale Sustainable Agriculture, weeding and planting fall bulbs
- Overall, 6 participants graduated from internships, 27 participants started a new job, 8 participants completed a basic computer class, 24 participants met their education goals; 8 completed a semester, 10 made the Dean’s List, 1 was class valedictorian, and 8 graduated from their education programs
