Fellowship Place’s 2014 Annual Holiday Luncheon Celebration on Dec. 19, a Huge Success!
On Friday, December 19, Fellowship Place held its annual Holiday Luncheon Celebration, attended by over 150 clients from all agency programs. In addition to a full holiday feast prepared by the agency’s in-house kitchen staff, the afternoon was filled with great food and friends, entertainment by our in-house groups the Music Makers and the Music in The Moment Band, and even a visit from Santa! A very special thank you to the Fellowship Place Board of Directors, Stop & Shop, and the firm of Bailey, Moore, Glazer, Schaefer, & Proto; their generous donations made the afternoon possible.

Over a dozen community agencies were present to share health & wellness information and conduct health screenings. Exhibiting agencies included Yale New Haven Hospital, Communicare, Stepping Stone Transitional Housing, Gateway Community College Nursing students, Liberty Community Services, Hill Health Center, and Community Action Agency Energy Assistance program. Information presented included women’s health, dental health, smoking cessation, transitional housing, HIV, STD and Birth Control information, information about heart disease, diabetes, and physical fitness, Meals on Wheels, and Energy Assistance. Diabetes screenings and blood pressure screenings were provided free of charge.
Fellowship Place has joined the Connecticut Food Bank in their efforts to raise awareness about hunger in our community. As part of this initiative, our agency is hosting a months long virtual food drive on the Connecticut Food Bank’s website. To make a donation, please visit:
