Fellowship Place’s senior citizen’s group enjoying a restaurant meal and proclaiming “HOPES.” HOPES is a skill building group which helps older adults living with a mental illness cope with the challenges of aging by building a peer support network. HOPES is funded by the Agency on Aging of South Central CT.

Thank You Yale New Haven Hospital Mobile Mammography Van

Special thanks to our partners at Yale New Haven Hospital for arranging for the Mobile Mammogram Van to visit Fellowship Place on July 23. Fifteen women had mammograms completed, and everyone at the agency learned about why early detection is important.

A wonderful time was enjoyed by all at Fellowship Place’s annual Memorial Day picnic held on the agency’s campus. On this holiday the agency wishes to recognize our veterans for their service.

Fellowship Place’s HOPES Program Celebrates Older Americans Month

HOPES, Fellowship Place’s group for older adults living with a mental illness, celebrated Older Americans Month with a special luncheon on May 20. The theme of the event was “The Importance of Social Connections.” Having friends and a daily routine is important to aging well and maintaining good health.

HOPES meets weekly and is funded by the Agency on Aging of South Central CT.
