Fellowship Place is the recipient of a 2023 grant award from the Petit Family Foundation in support of the agency’s Expressive Arts program, which inspires and promotes artistic expression as a therapeutic tool for adults living with chronic mental illness. Fellowship Place the Recipient of a 2023 Pfizer Inc. Grant Award

Fellowship Place has been awarded a 2023 grant award from Pfizer Inc. in support of the agency’s Healthy Meal Program, which addresses food insecurity & nutrition for low-income adults living with serious mental illness who attend therapeutic activities on our agency’s campus. The program provides access to free healthy meals daily- functioning as a safety net for clients who may not have adequate funds, cooking skills, or kitchen facilities, to eat and prepare nutritious meals on a daily basis. The program also gives them the opportunity to socialize and share meals with peers who face similar challenges.

Studies show that regular nutrition and an improved food lifestyle have proven effective in reducing the health-related risk factors common among people with serious mental illness, and both are vital to them in functioning at the highest level of independent living possible, an important outcome in the work that Fellowship Place does.
