Today Fellowship Place celebrates World Mental Health Day and the importance of social connections. Healthy meals, exercise, and conversations with friends and family are super important for your mental health and overall wellbeing.
Fellowship Place’s senior citizen’s group enjoying a restaurant meal and proclaiming “HOPES.” HOPES is a skill building group which helps older adults living with a mental illness cope with the challenges of aging by building a peer support network. HOPES is funded by the Agency on Aging of South Central CT.

Special thanks to our partners at Yale New Haven Hospital for arranging for the Mobile Mammogram Van to visit Fellowship Place on July 23. Fifteen women had mammograms completed, and everyone at the agency learned about why early detection is important.
