Fellowship Place needs your support during The Great Give® 2023!

Our agency is seeking support for the Fellowship Inn Daytime Drop-in Center for the homeless.

Your donation will help us provide breakfast and lunch 7 days a week, and laundry supplies for homeless adults who come to the Inn for daytime support services. Funding of this program is a priority, especially as the agency struggles with rising costs due to inflation and supply chain issues, and a 30% increase in demand for services. Fellowship Place serves more than 200 homeless adults annually, many of whom struggle with a mental illness or a mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorder.

Donate anytime from May 3rd at 8:00 am through May 4th at 8:00 pm by visiting:

Fellowship Place receives 2022 grant award from NewAlliance Foundation

Fellowship Place has been awarded a 2023 grant award from NewAlliance Foundation in support of the agency’s Healthy Meal Program, which addresses food insecurity & nutrition for low-income adults living with serious mental illness who attend therapeutic activities on our agency’s campus. The program provides access to free healthy meals daily.

Fellowship Place awarded $110,000 Responsive Grant to provide general operating support to help adults with mental illness lead independent, meaningful, and healthy lives through a full range of therapeutic support and rehabilitation services.

The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven (CFGNH) has awarded Fellowship Place a grant totaling $110,000 through The Foundation’s largest annual competitive grants process. The awarded funds will provide general operating support over the next two years for Fellowship Place’s core programs.

“Fellowship Place is honored to be chosen as a 2022 award recipient by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven,” says Executive Director, Mary A. Guerrera, “The agency is very grateful for the Community Foundation’s continued support and recognition of Fellowship Place’s role in New Haven’s mental health system of care. The Responsive Grant will help the agency bridge the gap between government contracts and the true cost of providing services. The additional funds will help the agency’s efforts to recruit and retain qualified staff.”

For sixty-two years, Fellowship Place has provided a supportive community fostering mental health for some of the poorest and most vulnerable members of the community. The agency’s campus, located in New Haven’s Dwight neighborhood, is open every day of the year, including holidays, and offers counseling, day programs, employment and education services, as well as forty-five units of permanent supported housing. More than 800 individuals are served annually, with the majority coping with serious mental illness, poverty, homelessness, unemployment, and social isolation. Fellowship Place is committed to helping the mentally ill, their families, and the public understand and appreciate that with proper treatment and support, people with a mental illness can be successful and contribute to the vibrancy of the community.
