Restrictions: A total of 8 guests can enjoy a one week stay during the months of June 2023 and September 2023. Car necessary. Does not include ferry costs to Martha’s Vineyard (the 45 minute ferry requires a reservation-Make ASAP), or transportation costs to Edgartown.

Richard Estes Signed Poster

Richard Estes signed poster, Central Savings, 1975, 22”x 18”. Estes is a famous photorealism artist, regarded as one of the founders of the international photorealism movement of the late 1960s. He is known for his depiction of reflected light in New York City scenes. His works have been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.

Signed copy of “Iowa: Echoes of a Vanishing Landscape” by author and fine art photographer David Ottenstein. The book contains 89 black and white photographs and includes texts by the late Alan Trachtenberg of Yale University and Jonathan Andelson, director of the Center for Prairie Studies at Grinnell College in Iowa. The auction winner can select a signed print from a choice of 12 images on “Book” page of Ottenstein’s website at https://davidottenstein.com/iowa-echoes-of-a-vanishing-landscape/.There is also a $100 gift certificate for matting and framing. Ottenstein’s work has been collected by the Beinecke Library at Yale University, Grinnell College in Iowa, the New Britain Museum of American Art, the Nelson-Atkinson Museum of American Art in Kansas City, and the Palmer Museum of Art at Pennsylvania State University.

Cafe Nine. 19” x 33”. LaPalombara is a landscape and still life painter who paints from direct observation. Her landscapes mostly focus on urban New Haven and coastal Maine. She has spent considerable time painting in Italy, which has been an important influence. Whatever the motif, light and color are at the heart of the work, and she creates a sense of place that speaks beyond the physicality of the paint. “Among the many painters I admire and who have influenced my work, the standouts are Edward Hopper, John Baptiste Corot, and Giorgio Morandi.” Her work is in regional galleries throughout the United States and Rome and in numerous private collections.
