Full Time Accountant

Fellowship Place, a busy non-profit agency located in New Haven, seeks a Full Time Accountant.  Candidate must possess strong analytical skills, attention to details and be a team player. Responsibilities include payroll, compiling journal entries, assist with month-end and year-end closings, bank deposits, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Position reports to the Accounting Supervisor.

Excellent computer skills required, including QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel, as well as good verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Donor Perfect a plus.  Ideal candidate will have Non Profit and State Reporting experience.

Salary Range-  $27.50 – $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. 35 hours per week in office, with occasional overtime.  Excellent benefits including health Insurance, paid time off and 403(b) plan.

Full Time Vocational Counselor

Fellowship Place, a leading provider of employment services for individuals living with a mental illness, seeks a full time Vocational Counselor to help our clients find and keep a job.   This position is responsible for  providing evidence based supported employment services for an assigned caseload.  Duties include vocational assessments, help with resume writing, coaching for job interviews, networking with potential employers, job placement and post-employment support.  Requirements include a BA or BS degree in Business, Psychology or Social Work, or a minimum of two years of work experience in an employment agency or human resources office.  Prior work experience in mental health or with special needs client populations and  good motivational interviewing skills with basic understanding  of the Americans Disabilities Act and government disability benefits  also helpful.    Salary range:  $34,000-$39,000 annually with paid time off and health benefits.  Application deadline is 6/30/23.

Part Time Career Counselor

Fellowship Place, a leading provider of career development services for mentally ill adults, seeks a part time Career Counselor for 18 hours per week to help clients obtain a GED or begin and complete a post-secondary education. Job responsibilities include education assessment and planning, assisting clients with the college enrollment process, and on-going supports to help clients be successful in school. Career Counselors are responsible for service coordination with other providers working with shared clients. Requirements include a BA/BS degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, or AS degree in Human Services and a minimum of 2 years work experience in the Mental Health field. Use of personal vehicle required. Mileage reimbursement provided. Pay is $20 per hour.

Part Time/Full Time Custodian

Fellowship Place, a non-profit mental health agency, is recruiting for a part time or full time custodian to clean several buildings on the agency’s small campus in New Haven’s Dwight neighborhood.  Duties include cleaning offices, bathrooms, and common spaces; mowing lawns and other grounds work; and stacking supplies on shelves.  Candidates must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift minimum of 60lbs, and climb stairs and ladders.

Hours are between 8am and 4pm, Monday-Friday

Sal. $18/hour

Full Time Receptionist

Fellowship Place, a busy social service agency located in the Dwight neighborhood of New Haven, is recruiting for a Receptionist to greet clients and other visitors, answer phones, and complete a variety of clerical support tasks.  Daily responsibilities will include data entry, sending faxes,  sorting mail,  stocking office supplies, filing, typing, and preparation of simple correspondence.  Ideal candidate will have good customer service skills and be proficient in Microsoft Suite, with a minimum of 2 years work experience as a Receptionist or Administrative Assistant, preferably in a social service or behavioral health organization.

Sal.  $18.50/hour with paid time off, health benefits,  and 403-B Retirement  Plan.  Hours are 8:45am-4:15pm, Monday-Friday with occasional overtime.   This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking a small, congenial work environment with an organization that serves people with limited financial resources who are living with mental health and substance use challenges.

Full Time/Part Time Peer Support Specialist for Supported Employment Program

Fellowship Place, a nonprofit agency located in New Haven, seeks a full-time or part-time Peer Support Specialist for the Supported Employment program. Successful applicants will identify as people with first-hand experience of recovery from a mental health or substance use disorder and be willing to share their personal stories to build relationships with clients.  Job responsibilities include helping clients to prepare for work and be successful once employed. Duties may include but are not limited to travel training, running job preparation groups, meeting with clients one-on-one to discuss work goals and challenges, and promoting employment services to agency clients not enrolled in the Employment Program.  Prior Experience working or volunteering in a social service agency preferred.   Current Recovery Support Specialist certification or willingness to become certified as a Recovery Support Specialist required.
