Fellowship Place Artists Invited to Exhibit at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford

The Fellowship Place art exhibit “Renewal” will be on display at the Legislative Office Building at the State Capitol from June 1st -June 30th.  Thirteen members of ArtShip, one of several Expressive Arts groups facilitated by the agency, are included in the show. ArtShip at Fellowship Place is an artists’ cooperative comprised of individuals who routinely show and sell their work in various settings in the community.  With art, there is a level playing field, free of the consequences of stigma.  With each work, renewal, growth, and personal peace are possible.

Fellowship Place receives $10,000 grant from Newman’s Own Foundation

Fellowship Place has received a $10,000 grant from Newman’s Own Foundation, the independent Newmans_Own_Foundation_Logo_Smallfoundation created by the late actor and philanthropist, Paul Newman. This grant will help fund a broad range of therapeutic support services and housing for adults living with a chronic mental illness.

Newman’s Own Foundation turns all net profits and royalties from the sale of Newman’s Own products into charitable donations. To date, Paul Newman and Newman’s Own Foundation have given over $485 million to thousands of charities around the world.

Fellowship Place is grateful to Newman’s Own Foundation for recognizing the important role the agency plays in the mental health system of care in greater New Haven.
