Social Worker Masters Level

Fellowship Place, a mental health agency in New Haven CT, is recruiting for a masters level Social Worker for community outreach and education about mental health and wellness, with a special focus on underserved populations and families of individuals living with a mental illness or a co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder.   Responsibilities will include organizing and attending community events to increase awareness of mental health issues and providing information about available resources.   The successful candidate will develop and organize educational materials and workshops, develop programs for supporting family members, and coordinate activities with other service providers, including peer led groups.

Position requires a MSW degree with experience in community organizing, outreach, & public speaking as well as a   broad knowledge base of mental health, mental illness, and available community resources.  Certification in Mental Health First Aid, Motivational Interviewing, SMART Recovery, and/or LEAP very helpful.

Salary range is $48,000-$50,000 annually, depending on experience, with paid time off, health plan, and 403-B Retirement Plan.    This is a good opportunity for a recent graduate seeking a position in a small non-profit agency dedicated to providing supportive services for adults living with a mental illness and their families and   to eliminating the stigma often associated with mental illness.

Position requires evening hours several nights per week and a valid CT Driver’s license.
