Thank You Renaissance Men for a Stellar Performance for Fellowship Place

A very special thank you to Renaissance Men for their memorable performance of RenMentality on May 16th on Fellowship Place’s New Haven campus. Over 100 people attended the performance, including members of the general public, parents of mental health consumers, professionals in the mental health field, Fellowship Place clients, and members of the Fellowship Place Board of Directors. The evening included a pre-performance art exhibit and sale by the agency’s clients, and was followed by a talk-back session with the performers.

Fellowship Place Participates in the Greater Dwight Development Corporation’s Annual Spring Clean-Up.

On Saturday, May 11 a small group of volunteers from Fellowship Place participated in the Greater Dwight Development Corporation’s annual spring clean-up. Our clients worked side by side with our neighbors to pick up trash, sweep sidewalks, and help with plantings on Elm Street and University Place. Fellowship Place is grateful to the greater Dwight community for its support, and Saturday’s event was one way for us to say “thanks”.

Yale School of Management Graduate Students Conduct Career Development Workshop for Clients

On April 29 graduate students from the Yale School of Management (SOM) conducted a Career Development workshop for clients enrolled in Fellowship Place’s Supported Employment program. Nine volunteers from SOM met one on one with clients to help with resume writing and to practice interview skills. After the workshop, some of the volunteers stayed for dinner and karaoke with people on campus for the Evening Social program. A special shout out to SOM for sharing their expertise with us and to Arielle Sydnor, our Board Fellow, for organizing the event. Our clients learned a lot and were inspired by the students.

Please support the Fellowship Place Steppers in the 2019 Walk Against Hunger, Saturday, May 18th for the CT Food Bank.

On May 18, 2019, the Fellowship Place Steppers will participate in the 2019 Walk Against Hunger for the CT Food Bank, at Savin Rock Park, 6 Rock St, West Haven. The CT Food Bank provided Fellowship with over 16,800 lbs. of food this past year for the Healthy Meals program, which serves our program participants free nutritional meals on a daily basis.

Fellowship Place encourages our clients to give back to our partners and the broader community by getting involved in activities like the Hunger Walk. Click here to support the Fellowship Place Steppers efforts:
