Halfway through our Stop & Shop Community Bag Program Benefit Month

Fellowship Place is halfway through our benefiting month of receiving $1 from every $2.50 Community Bag sold at the Stop & Shop located at 150 Whalley Avenue in New Haven. Between now and January 31, please consider purchasing a bag or two when you are shopping at the store, which will do good for Fellowship Place as well as for the environment.

Fellowship Place Participates in the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program

Fellowship Place is excited to share that our agency has been selected to be a part of the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program, which makes it easy for customers to contribute to their local communities. During the month of January 2023, whenever a $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at the Stop & Shop located at 150 Whalley Avenue in New Haven, $1 will be donated to Fellowship Place. Please consider purchasing a bag or two the next time you are shopping at the store.

Mary Guerrera, Fellowship Place Executive Director with Barry and Carrie, Managers of the Stop & Shop on Whalley Ave. Stop & Shop supported the agency’s Thanksgiving celebration by contributing gift cards, gift bags, and volunteers to assemble food bags for agency clients. Thank you Stop & Shop for being a good neighbor.

Fellowship Place Holds Annual Health Fair on November 13th

Fellowship Place clients participated in valuable health screenings, received free flu shots, and got important health & wellness information at the agency’s annual health fair. Special thanks to the following community agencies who participated: Yale New Haven Hospital, Smilow Cancer Center, Cornell Scott Hill Health Center, Assurance Wireless, University of New Haven Dental students, New Haven Dept. of Health, Stop & Shop, Tai Chi Center, Cornell Scott Hill Health Center, Community Action Agency, Husky Health, Southern CT State University Nursing students, National Alliance for the Mentally Ill CT Chapter, and the Dental Partnership.
